UQ-UniQuest Internship Program

The UniQuest International Development Internship Program aims to provide students enrolled in the UQ Masters of Development Practice (MDP) program with exposure to the international development sector. Since 2009, UniQuest has welcomed a number of interested and passionate interns into the Internship Program. Upon completion of the program, interns have gained invaluable experience and knowledge of:

  • the international development sector and the issues and challenges involved in undertaking international development assistance
  • how an international development company operates
  • effective program management practices

For more information on course requirements, please visit the Masters of Development Practice website http://www.uq.edu.au/development-practice/.

‘I thoroughly enjoyed my experience as an intern at UniQuest. Before I had the opportunity, I was not fully aware of how an international development organisation worked. My time at UniQuest helped me to understand better how to apply skills learnt from my studies into practice within global development initiatives. Working with experts and long-term practitioners within the field was invaluable experience for me professionally and personally.’   - E.Kiriakoff, Intern March - May 2011.

If you're a student currently studying the Master of Development Practice at The University of Queensland, and you're interested in applying for an internship with UniQuest, please contact Niki Dowsing at n.dowsing@uniquest.com.au.
