Researcher in Business Grants (RiB)

UQ academics are available to support your business through the Australian Government’s Enterprise Connect Researcher in Business grants.

Researcher in Business grants have a streamlined grant application and faster turnaround times than traditional grants. Importantly, they are also viewed by ARCi as providing  pre-Linkage project funding to develop medium to long-term industry applied research, which can subsequently strengthen and enhance the competitiveness of ARC grant applications.

This scheme supports the placement of university researchers in businesses, to help develop new ideas with commercial potential. The program funds up to 50% of salary costs for 2-12 months. A Researcher in Business placement can help to overcome cultural divides between business and the research sector; speed up the distribution of knowledge and expertise; accelerate the adoption of new ideas and technologies; and boost your competitive edge.
