Xenimet technology allows the manufacture of high volume, complex-shaped parts using light weight aluminum alloys. Xenimet can improve the properties of aluminum (wear resistance, thermal expansion and stiffness) and can also localise these properties where they are needed, eg to seat screws and shafts, without sacrificing the weight benefits of aluminum. The surface finish characteristics of a Xenimet product make it excellent for injection moulding and as a base for anodising to acquire an even higher quality surface finish.
