The bright to dark red attractive fruit of Red Bayberry (Myrica rubra) have been produced in China for centuries, sought after for perceived health benefits as well as their refreshing and delicious flavour, high commercial value and profitability. A small number of trees started producing commercial yields three years after transplanting to the Queensland site.
