Researchers at The University of Queensland have developed a superior blood clotting agent for preparing higher quality serum. The research has shown that the new serum preparation tubes, QSera, clots blood more efficiently than current methods; is capable of clotting blood from patients taking anticoagulating agents; and yields high quality serum for more accurate results.These benefits translate into cost reductions for healthcare systems and mitigates against the risk of misdiagnosis.
