Predikin - tool for efficient prediction of substrates of protein kinases

Predikin is a bioinformatics computer program that can predict the identity of the substrates of kinase enzymes. Developed at The University of Queensland, Predikin predicts which proteins a certain class of kinases may interact with, thus improving on the commonly used ‘trial and error’ approach. Predikin is packaged in an easy-to-use interface and users can be running it within hours of installation via the internet. This technology would suit biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies and research organisations involved in drug discovery research. The software may be used independently or as part of a suite of other bioinformatics tools.
