Phosphate & Arsenate Removal

University of Queensland researchers have developed a new generation of adsorbents for removing phosphate (and arsenate) from water bodies, which is easier to handle, lower in cost and higher in performance than existing solutions. In the case of phosphorus removal, the technology offers the potential to regenerate the absorbent or use the material as a slow-release phosphorus fertilizer.  This innovation also has the potential to become a key tool in addressing and removing oxyanions from water bodies.
