Researchers at The University of Queensland have developed a novel method for manufacturing gas-tight, perovskite, hollow ceramic fibres to greatly improve oxygen permeation rates. Advantages include the potential to: achieve permeation rates up to 3x higher than the typical of existing oxygen separation membranes; reduce temperature requirements; and decrease capital and operating costs.
