Functional Water Preparation

Grey water, storm water and salt water are potentially valuable sources of reusable water. However, existing techniques are relatively expensive to convert these waters sources to potable water. Researchers at The University of Queensland have developed a proprietary technique to create ‘functional water’ based on variable water quality inputs. The technology has potential applications ranging from providing soft water to household white goods (e.g. washing machines) to converting grey water to a functional water for agricultural purposes.
