The Ductless Task Air Conditioning (DTAC) system, developed at the University of Tasmania, makes cooling office areas more affordable. DTAC cools the occupants instead of the space, eliminating the need for ducts to bring cold air in or push warm air out. Heat is stored in a phase change material and released only after occupants have left the space, rather than continually exhausted.
