Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL) is the most common leukaemia in adults - an incurable disease causing more than 4000 deaths every year in the USi alone. Current treatments are limited in their usefulness in combating the disease, and there is a need for new efficacious treatments with low toxicities.
Researchers at The University of Queensland Diamantina Institute have identified a novel target that has potential in the treatment of CLL. Inhibition of this target clinically may provide an alternative to current treatments.
