Researchers at the Academic Unit in Geriatric Medicine and the Centre for Online Health at The University of Queensland have developed a web-based assessment system (CeGA Online) that facilitates the process of efficient, comprehensive geriatric healthcare assessment.

It includes a training package for nurses performing the assessment; and  a web-based software solution incorporating a clinical decision support system, which enables a geriatrician to review and report the assessment online. The assessment and report can be viewed by authorised clinicians inside and outside the hospital using the internet through a secure connection.
