Breast Cancer Combination Therapy

Researchers at The University of Queensland Diamantina Institute have developed a new therapeutic approach that would be suitable for more than 50% of ER-breast cancers, comprising a combination of androgen receptor (AR) inhibition and MEK inhibition.

Results from in vitro studies and mouse models of breast cancer indicate that a significant reduction in tumour growth can be achieved compared to monotherapies, with no detectable in vivo toxicity.
