Pongamia oil provides an economic and sustainable raw material for the bio-fuel industry in large quantities, which will enable the industry to gain market share in the liquid fuel market. University of Queensland start-up, Bio Energy Solutions Pty Ltd, is developing Pongamia varieties and knowhow around large scale cultivation on marginal land. This includes a suite of Pongamia varieties, assays, management strategies, and support to enable Pongamia plantations for oil production.
