Aviator

The Aviator technology, developed at the University of Technology, Sydney, is a hands-free system which uses thought patterns to control devices. The project’s initial focus has been on developing hands-free control systems for assistive technologies, such as powered wheelchairs and communication tools for the people with disabilities.  Key features include the processing of thought patterns without extended delays between the generation of the user’s thought and the instruction being implemented by the device that is being controlled; and that the thought pattern obtained from the user can be processed by just one EEG channel.
