University of Queensland researchers have developed a system capable of acquiring auditory brainstem response (ABR) waveforms from either adults or neonates. The system comprises a novel, non-linear maximum length sequence (MLS) reconstruction algorithm with increased ABR amplitudes and superior waveform morphology. Improved accuracy and reduced test time offers significant benefits for screening system efficiency and reduced parental anxiety.
