Our Team

UniQuest's Technology Commercialisation team combines a broad range of business management and financing experience; patent and legal expertise; and research and project management know-how, to effectively capture value from our technologies. The team is jointly managed by Mr Andrew Davis and Dr Dean Moss.

Uniquely, our team includes Managers of  Innovation and Commercial Development (MICDs), who are based in university faculties and institutes - working alongside researchers to identify, protect and package innovations for commercialisation through licensing or the formation of start-up companies.  They also engage in establishing research and development partnerships with industry and securing research grants. The MICDs are supported by centralised UniQuest "Hub" team members, who provide additional commercialisation management or specialised expertise and services.  (Innovation and Commercial Development Associates and Analysts provide direct support to the MICDs in the faculities and institutes.)

UniQuest's MICD team is based at The University of Queensland (UQ), the University of Wollongong (UOW), and the Mater Medical Research Institute (MMRI).
