Mr Andrew Davis, BSc (Hons), MBA, MAICD
Group Manager, Technology Commercialisation Division
Andrew's role is to lead the Technology Commercialisation team, to evaluate and develop new technology projects to commercial reality, to achieve maximum long term return to the University of Queensland, to effectively manage and safeguard the Intellectual Property of the University and to effectively manage each project to ensure optimal performance within a reasonable time frame to contain the market and maximise return to the University.
Previously, Andrew has worked in the electronics, information and aerospace sectors, gaining broad experience in the commercialisation of technology and the management of related corporate vehicles. He has held executive positions in a range of companies from business development consultancies, to Australian technology start-ups, to a large corporation with an annual turnover of $200 million from the commercialisation of emerging technologies. Andrew holds the position of Director with four Australian companies.
