Experts Exchange is an annual forum to help academics and their research teams understand industry engagement, and how to optimise their expertise and skills through consulting and contract research.
This year's panel discussion will consider how private funding sources can move research projects forward - towards ARC grant success, as well as how to move past unsuccessful ARC applications. Hear what the experts say about public and private research funding options and learn how to move your research program forward.
The networking after the forum encourages researchers interested in consulting to talk directly with their peers and discuss possible collaborations.
Guest presenters are:
Professor Alan Lawson, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research & International), who will share how consulting and contract research with industry fits with UQ's mission of engagement
Professor Len Gray, Director Centre for Online Health and Director Centre for Research in Geriatric Medicine will share his experiences of what role engagement has played in moving towards research innovation and impact.
Panellists include:
Professor Jurg Keller, Director Advanced Water Management Centre
Professor Robert Henry, Director Queensland Alliance for Agroculture & Food Innovation
A/Professor Jason Stokes, School of Chemical Engineering
Mr Garry Henderson, Principal Process Engineer, Algae Development Manager, KBR.
