Professor Kubik has more than 40 years' experience in radio navigation, specialising in satellite navigation and satellite positioning (GPS).

He played a pivotal role in the adaption of GPS throughout Australia, and consulted on its use as primary means of navigation in the Australian Air Space. He has also developed new navigation technologies for various State and Federal government departments and corporations.

Professor Kubik is frequently requested to serve as court expert to testify on the reliability of GPS positions.
