Dr Stace’s expertise encompasses physics, mathematics and fluid mechanics.

He has contributed to the design and construction of optics, control electronics and software for an ultra-high precision optical clock.

More recently, he has been involved in developing models of electronic and optical systems for applications in quantum information processing.  He has worked on models of fluid and chemical motion in biological systems.

Dr Stace has supplied expert opinion in legal questions for which expertise in the quantitative analysis of physical problems was central to the case.  This has included patent disputes, sound levels at rail crossings, flick-knife design and interpretation of federal legislation.
