Dr Chris Bain is a medical epidemiologist who specialises in evaluating potential causal relations. Dr Bain’s research interests focus on the causes and outcome predictors of cancer (especially in women), evaluation of health services and nutrition and disease. He held academic appointments at Harvard Medical School prior to joining The University of Queensland, where he has lectured in epidemiology for the past 30 years. He has co-authored two editions of an award-winning textbook in epidemiology for Cambridge University Press.
