Strong rural economies are based on food secure communities underpinned by productive and sustainable agriculture systems.
UniQuest International Development supports the development of rural economies by drawing on agricultural, business management, social and political expertise to address local, national and global challenges.
We work with regional communities to develop their agricultural and business management practices as a means to alleviate poverty and improve economic opportunities. Constraints to production systems are addressed using a whole of value chain approach. With access to The University of Queensland's reseach capacity we can offer solutions that better utilise local resources, enhance local enterprise development, and empower rural communities.
We also partner with private sector organisations where appropriate to promote the sustainability of interventions, such as fee-for-service training and supply of key production inputs and information.
